Major GEPS Campaigns for 2026
GEPS has initiated a 4 pronged campaigning target for 2026 based around the following matters:
Matter 1. Expanding Seven Mile Beach National Park to support the Greater glider population and protect endangered species and communities,
Matter 2. Campaigning to require the Department of Planning to comply with conditions of consent imposed in 2008 to conserve certain vegetation at SMB.
Matter 3. Campaigning to resolve major biodiversity conflicts between:
- hard rock quarrying at Dunmore and critically endangered ecological communities and endangered species and
- development pressures and the recovery of Zieria granulata in Kiama LGA.
Matter 4. Resolving an incomprehensible public land categorisation in the Plan of Management relating to the hind dunes along Seven Mile Beach National Park.
